Chyameya Devû Hâvi

Chyameya Devû Hâvi (/ˈdevʊ/ /ˈhɑvi/ [cruel; nasty] [ferry]) is a temperate Large City located in Ûsî Râre Kingdom, Bæru̽sa Vu̽ Empire, within the Warren.

The name Chyameya Devû Hâvi is derived from the Sylvin language, as Chyameya Devû Hâvi was founded by Iorthossel, who was culturaly Rattu.

Climate

Chyameya Devû Hâvi has a yearly average temperature of 5°C (41°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cool 17°C (62°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a freezing -7°C (20°F). Overview

Chyameya Devû Hâvi was founded durring the early 14th century in fall of the year 1334, by Iorthossel. The establishment of Chyameya Devû Hâvi was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Iorthossel struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Chyameya Devû Hâvi as a prison colony.

Chyameya Devû Hâvi was built using the conventions of Rattu durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Chyameya Devû Hâvi is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Chyameya Devû Hâvi is buildings are built arround a single premissive carved bedrock mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the city a over all circular shape. The city has a defencive wall made from large clay bricks. The wall is constructed to the exact specifications of millitary fortifications, but the nature of its clay brick construction leaves it vulnerable to even outdated siege equipment. That said, the city is well defended against anything short of an army. The city's brittle defences have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the city.

Chyameya Devû Hâvi is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the city like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife.

Religious leaders are influential in almost any community, but in Chyameya Devû Hâvi they make up the final authorities. It may be an explicit theocracy, with rule by the clerics of a particular faith, or a temple might be so important and powerful that the official leaders are helpless to resist its will.
